Overcoming panic attack
It is extremely difficult or should I say, next impossible to lead a normal life while suffering from panic attacks. Most people who suffer from this disease have a propensity to see every situation as a threat and hence, they spend every single day of their lives trying to cut them self from general public and social interactions.
This makes is very important for people suffering from this disorder for overcoming panic attack when one hits them. There are different methods that can be used for conquering panic attack and those who suffer from panic attacks must be aware of them so that they can relax and calm themselves down instead of hitting the panic button.
Most people prefer immediate relief and turn to drugs for beating anxiety attack when it gets the better of them. But as most suffers might have experienced, drugs don’t help a great deal in defeating panic and anxiety attack, rather, you get addicted to them and there comes a point where no matter how hard you try, you are just not able to stop taking and hence, you put your mental as well as physical condition in jeopardy.
The major reason for having a panic attack is not being able to identify a situation in the right manner and this is a problem that can no way be treated by the use of drugs. All they do is offer you some short term relief from the symptoms rather than the root cause of the problem and this is one of the prime reasons why drugs fail in overcoming panic attacks in the long run.
Nearly every normal person reacts by feeling a little nervous, experiences palpitation and heavy sweating when a situation is seen as a small trigger. These little triggers are seen as a road to bigger threat and the reaction to symptoms is much sever as compared to the normal limits and this is why those who suffer from panic attacks seem to be tensed and anxious.
A panic attack is not something that is untreatable by what you need to do first and foremost is to accept that you have a problem that does not let you distinguish certain situations which needs to be solved. Rather than worrying about what the reactions might be when the mind is triggered, you need to concentrate on re-living the situation that resulted in the triggering of mind. Doing this over and over again would help develop your mind and would help calm you down.
